The call by the dark Lord had been made as
the sun moved towards oblivion for the day.The impending dark
spreading its tentacles for absolute control. Ramesh sat on bed
bewildered at the way nature ensured its ways. He felt a sense of firm
conviction in the action. as he got to go towards the balcony. The
first step forward, and he screamed in pain holding onto his legs with
both hands. As he raised his pajamas in seething pain the swollen calf
muscles with scores of blue marks over them was visible. The
excruciating pain made him bite his lip as he walked towards the
balcony.
As the world got engulfed in a cloak of
darkness he felt unnerved. At an age of 13 he was too lost to sustain
rationality of thoughts. The uneasiness was fueling his intensity to
believe in self as his exasperation over his incapacity withered of in
the dark. As he walked back into the room with strength to bear the
pain his eyes were seething with angst and a spirit of vengeance.
Ramesh walked up to the cupboard, opened it and pulled the gun out(The
one he stole from his fathers room earlier in the day). Hands shaking,
sweaty palms but prepared to bring it all to an end,he thrust the gun
around his waist and rushed to the hallway. As he reached he the hall,
he could hear some noises....
Ram shouted 'Seema don't you get it ?I
have told you not to disturb me in office. You moron!'. Seems stood
still with eyes exploring the ground beneath and her shivering hands
holding onto the glass of water. Ram carried on 'You are too stubborn
to understand' as he hastily walked towards her and slapped her. She
lost balance and fell towards the edge of the table. The glass of water
fell, broken into pieces all over the place.Ramesh was seeing it all
from behind the curtain, he felt a sudden rage and entered the hall.
Seems lay on the floor unconscious as blood oozed out of her forehead.
Ramesh saw her mother lying helpless and his father least bothered.
He yelled ‘You are a beast, you deserve no mercy”. Ram in the wink of
an eye without any remorse slapped him twice and said ‘You get ready
to be whipped, how you dare utter those words?’ Ramesh felt a déjà vu
it had been this way ever since he was 8 years of age. His childhood
ruined, helpless and held guilty for no fault for unknown reasons. He
pulled the gun and shouted “We need to be set free”.
Bang! Bang! A sudden burst of sound, Ram
fell to the ground with blood splattered over his chest. Ramesh had
tears in his eyes as he felt the pain ease out. He fell to his feet
crying ……..

Hey Prashant,

Great piece of writing, still as strong an impact to read as was to
hear you narrate it.
Though I would ask you to go through the whole thing again there are a
few minor typing and grammatical errors that might have skipped your
notice. For example, blue marks over them "were" visible.
Aside from those few errors its a very good one indeed.
I hope you plan on continuing Ramesh's story further.

Regards

Ankit

Thanks for the inputs Ankit. You are correct I did over look the
typos. Yes I would definitely attempt to add further to Ramesh's
story.
