Hi all, well I ordered my Egg Bot Pro today for my Christmas present from my wife. Does anyone else have this model? Seems to be nicely made, and an interesting little device. I use to be a CNC machinist, and electronics is one of my many hobbies, so I thought this would be fun to play with. Been playing around with stepper motors with my arduino, and was thinking of making one, but the pro looks so nice. Does anybody have any advice?

Hey Tony! Welcome to one of the most unassumingly addictive art/tech hobbies out there!

My advice is just to have fun! Fund something you love, and turn it into egg-bot art! Spend some time on the blogs and on Thingiverse to find a little inspiration (and pre-created art), then make it your own!

I can't wait to see what you come up with!

What are the best pens to use? Which gives the best resolution?

Wendell and Lenore have a good forum post regarding pens: http://wiki.evilmadscience.com/Pen_choices

I tend to stick with Sharpie Ultra Fine markers, but have used a few more for the more detailed designs I've made (Like my Optimus Prime: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:84053).
