CS046 - Introduction to Programming - Problem Solving with Java

Write your first Java programs today!

Hi Moffat,

Welcome to Introduction to Programming - Problem Solving with Java! This is going to be a great class, and we are very excited to teach you to write your own programs in Java.

We will also have fun interviews from students and working programmers, where they will share their experiences and advice about programming with the class!

Most importantly, we will build interesting programs and exercises throughout the class, so you will have a chance to put your new skills to use and showcase what you learn.

Also, we recommend that you check out the course wiki. It contains links to all the resources you need for the course. In particular, the instructions for setting up your coding environment, and the zip file with the starter code for the class.

If you run into questions or problems, please don’t hesitate to post in the class forums. We visit the forums frequently and we will be happy to help you out!

This course is open, so you can take it at your own pace and do a lesson or two whenever you have time. So let us get started!

Stay Udacious,

Cay Horstmann, Kathleen O’Brien, Cheng-Han Lee & Sara Tansey
