Hi, Skunks.

We are looking for an experienced oracle developer to join a leading software development firm in Kenya.

Portal: IT / Infrastructure   Function: Development
Location: Hurlingham, Nairobi, Kenya
Contract: Full-Time PERMANENT position 
Contract details: BONUS 
Salary: KES 80,000 to KES 100,000 - BONUS

Role requirements:

Analysis:
Liaise effectively and independently with business analysts and architecture team.
Reconcile technical proposals from other developers with business specifications.

Design:
Interpretation and understanding of functional specifications.
Writing technical design documents adhering to predefined standards.

Code:
Hands on design & development of Oracle PL/SQL in a 11g environment.
Ensuring code written meets the predefined company and department standards.
Performance basic tuning to ensure acceptable application performance.
Experience with automated build frameworks and continuous integration is highly desirable.

Quality Assurance:
Conducting peer reviews and providing constructive feedback.

Testing:
Execution of unit test cases and documentation of results.
Provide support during QA and UAT test phases.
Diagnosis and resolution of defects found during QA and UAT test phases.


Implementation:
Coordination with multiple individuals across business and IT.
Training and knowledge transfer to support teams.

Post-Implementation:
Point of contact for support team, investigating and resolving post-release issues found in production.

Communication Responsibilities

Communicate effectively with the other development teams and the local development manager.
