Developer Training
Two local companies, BTI Millman Limited and Dew CIS
Solutions Limited have partnered with Competa IT BV in The Hague Netherlands to
form CodePamoja training program. The program focuses on training Kenyan
software developers on how to work to international standards using the latest
project management methods and software tooling. It complements the technical
skills acquired from undergraduate level training with up-to-date project
management experience and exposure to Enterprise Software Development
CodePamoja training runs for a maximum of three months with
a certificate on completion. It uses a buddy system where Kenyan developers
collaborate with developers in the Netherlands in Virtual Teams. The emphasis
is on knowledge sharing and there is no set training agenda or syllabus.
Trainees learn by collaborating with developers in the EU on real projects.
Multiple projects can be in progress at any one time, people may work on more than
one project simultaneously and may join projects at any stage in their
lifecycle from design to deployment.
Interested developers should apply through the website www.codepamoja.org.
By enrolling, they will be in a position to seize a great opportunity whereby
they will learn not only scrum project management and agile software
development but also how to work well effectively in a team and be a good team
player.
Best,
