Thank you for your inquiry. Several Turkish websites recently ran advertisements which were
not issued by Trinity College Dublin. These notices appeared for two different items:
a scholarship for one student entering our M.Phil in Literary Translation and one short-term post for a Turkish
translator-in-residence. The current status for each item is listed correctly below:

REGARDING THE POST OF TURKISH TRANSLATOR-IN-RESIDENCE:
The Turkish translator position will be filled later this year by a professional literary translator who
has previously published Turkish-to-English or English-to-Turkish literary translations. This post will
be advertised by Trinity College Dublin at the end of September of this year, with the appointee taking up the position
from January 2015 for 4 months.

ONE SCHOLARSHIP FOR A STUDENT ENTERING THE M.PHIL IN LITERARY TRANSLATION AT TRINITY COLLEGE DUBLIN:
This scholarship depends on funding from Turkey, which has not yet been approved.
If the scholarship receives funding there will be an official announcement at
http://www.tcd.ie/langs-lits-cultures/postgraduate/literary_translation.

All applicants to the M.Phil in Literary Translation must meet the following requirements for admission to the programme:
1) graduation from an accredited Bachelor's Degree programme with a mark equivalent to a 2.1 result in the Irish/UK system; and
2) an average score of 7 on IELTS (the International English Language Testing System)

More information about the M.Phil in Literary Translation, including fees and links to the IELTS testing programme can be found
at http://www.mastersportal.eu/studies/1294/literary-translation.html.

All best regards,
Peter Arnds

Dear Peter Arnds,

I have learned that TCD is looking for a ''Turkish Translator'' for the next year. I am really interested in this opportunity. But, as I will be doing my internship between September 2014-February 2015 at NATO, could you please inform me about the possibility of employment after February 2015 and the job description in detail ? You can find my CV attached. Thanks in advance.

Best regards,
