Google Group Site Settings - Updated for Increased Moderation

Hello Everyone,
We recently noticed that some unwelcome spam posts were made to our
Google group site.
To let you all know, we appologize for the unforseen posts and we have
addressed the problem by changing some of the Google group settings.
Previously, anyone who is a member could post without their messages
being moderated.
The settings have now been changed and posts from messages will be
moderated before they are distributed to the group.
This should close the hole that was used to send out the spam that you
may have received through our site recently.
The messages were reported to Google as spam and Google has removed
the posts from our site and will take other appropriate actions.

Our core leader group will be able to continue to post without
moderation, but we'll take the extra measure of security for the
general membership.
That being said, we still encourage all our membership to feel free to
post. We'll do our best to keep up with moderating messages to make
sure your posts get displayed as soon as possible.

Thanks for understanding as we try to stay accessible as possible to
our membership without exposing you to unwanted spam. If any spam
comes with "EGB" asoociated with it, please let the committee chair
