E O Wilson, named by TIME as one of America’s 25 Most Influential People, is considered the father of the environmental movement. At Harvard, he teaches the science behind today’s challenge to find the balance between life on planet Earth and the life of Earth herself.
This two-time recipient of the Pulitzer Prize will speak about his book “The Future of Life”, which offers a plan for saving Earth’s biological heritage. His latest is “Superorganism".
He used his winnings from a 2007 TED Prize to set up The Encyclopedia of Life, which catalog all key information about life on Earth, including data about every living species, and makes it accessible to everyone. www.eol.org
