Invitation to "It Takes a Village..." - A Gathering of EFT for Youth Practitioners

I am pleased to invite you to our next gathering: "It Takes a Village..."—a unique event dedicated to Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT) practitioners who work with youth and their parents/caregivers. The purpose of this gathering is to build a supportive and dynamic community of EFT for Youth (EFT-Y) practitioners.

Vision for the Meetings

The previous meetings have been inspiring and have deepened integration and mutual support. The exchange of valuable experiences highlighted the need to develop a strong community in this field. We extend our thanks to the pioneers of Emotion Focused Therapy and to Dr. Mirisse Foroughe for her contributions in creating and researching EFT for Youth.

The vision is to create a space where we can share knowledge, experiences, and insights. Through these gatherings, the aim is to build a community based on mutual learning, support, and a shared sense of purpose. This is not only an opportunity to network but also a chance to deepen our practice and broaden our understanding in meaningful ways.

Meeting Goals

This meeting represents the beginning of what we believe will be a powerful and enriching journey for all involved. It is a chance to:

* Connect with peers,

* Discuss challenges and successes,

* Explore new perspectives in the evolving field of EFT-Y.

Meeting Agenda

* Watch a recording of a session with a teenager, focusing on anxiety processes and anxiety-related issues.

*Explanation of why and how the therapist considered the family system and involved the parents.

*Look at core pain and examine the microprocesses related to the specifics of emotional processing in the teenager.

* Social time for connection and exchange 

Important Information

Please note that these gatherings are not formal training or supervision in EFT-Y. They are intended for integration, community building, and connection. Every EFT practitioner interested in working with youth is warmly invited to participate. This is a great opportunity to observe the work we do.
