Withthe impending launch of the highly-anticipated video game Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare comes a new live-action trailer that stars Taylor Kitsch (Lone Survivor) and Emily Ratajkowski (Gone Girl).
The video gives fans a first-person look into a live-action simulation of the gameplay fans will experience in Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, with Taylor Kitsch playing a fellow soldier guiding you through all the mayhem. The actor actually reunites with Battleship filmmaker Peter Berg, who directed this innovative trailer.
Suit up and unleash the raw power of the advanced soldier, and fight your way through a series of enemy forces and discover new movements, capabilities and weaponry along the way in this heart-racing journey through 2059 Lagos. Take a look at this video before Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is released on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC formats November 4.
Fans of the Call of Duty series have come to expect a brash, big-budget marketing campaign on a yearly basis, with recent years promising a live-action trailer featuring some famous faces as well. But with Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare bringing futuristic tech to the individual soldiers on the battlefield, the new powers granted to even the common man or woman have taken the spotlight.
Not entirely, of course, as the recently released live-action trailer for Advanced Warfare turns to director Peter Berg and actor Taylor Kitsch (Lone Survivor) to help prospective players make the decision to 'Discover Their Power' - with the help of one of the game's cutting-edge Exo-Suits.
The trailer itself shows just how much the Exo-Suits cooked up by the developers at Sledgehammer Games may be turning traditional CoD gameplay on its head, allowing players to leap higher and farther than ever before, and grant them superhuman strength (and durability). The team has promised that in their vision of the future of modern combat, the added powers and maneuverability of the Exo-Suit really do change everything, and Kitsch's physics-defying performance certainly proves it.
It's a nice change of pace in exactly what the live-action trailer is promising audiences; where previous trailers called on A-list stars simply for their clout, and others warned players directly that there was simply no resisting Call of Duty's allure, this take is a combination of both. While a cameo from Emily Ratajkowski (Gone Girl) isn't likely in the game's campaign itself, showing players what actual feats they'll be able to pull off (albeit digitally) meshes with the cinematic trailers of actual Advanced Warfare footage.
On the other hands, even casual viewers may be struck with jealousy at the ease with which Kitsch puts futuristic weaponry and technology to use against an unclear enemy. If that's the case, Activision no doubt promises, then that green complexion can be solved by purchasing the game when it releases November 4, and players can see how well they do against a swarm of flying machines, or being caught in the middle of a privately-funded war.
For the first time in back-to-back years, Call of Duty returns with a direct sequel as Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III picks up immediately following the events of last year's incredible blockbuster Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II. This all-new experience is scheduled to be released worldwide on Friday, November 10th allowing players for the first time to continue their journey, progression, and story seamlessly for a new year to come.
Get ready for an all-new Campaign that continues the story immediately following the events of Modern Warfare II. Lead developer Sledgehammer Games, in partnership with Infinity Ward is set to deliver a full Campaign of action-packed operations ranging from signature, cinematic experiences to free-form Open Combat Missions, resulting in more player choice than ever before.
For the first time, team up with other squads to survive and fight massive hordes of the undead in the largest Call of Duty Zombies map ever. Modern Warfare Zombies (MWZ) tells a new Zombies story from developer Treyarch, with missions, core Zombies features, and a host of secrets to discover.
In the direct sequel to the record-breaking Modern Warfare II, Captain Price, and Task Force 141 face off against the ultimate threat. The ultranationalist Vladimir Makarov is extending his grasp across the world, causing Task Force 141 to fight like never before.
Prepare for seminal design to meet modern gameplay. This faithful modernization of the maps keeps their authenticity intact while infusing the latest tech, gameplay, modes, content, and more. Though you might have noticed elements of Terminal and Highrise during your time in Al Mazrah, the Modern Warfare III versions of these maps are built from scratch from the original 2009 designs.
In addition to brand-new modes like Cutthroat (a competitive 3v3v3 experience), a full range of fan-favorite and innovative gameplay features will be available at launch to get everyone started, like choosing to play Hardpoint and Kill Confirmed on Favela, modes that were never part of the original map offering, providing a refreshing multiplayer experience within these familiar environments.
Modern Warfare III brings new levels of customization to Create-a-Class. Get ready to build your Loadout based on cutting-edge military equipment, such as gloves, tactical vests, boots and more; allowing you to fine-tune more aspects of gameplay.
The evolution of the Gunsmith continues with the addition of After-Market Parts. This is a special set of customization options allowing you to focus on your preferred and specific playstyle. After-Market Parts enable you to construct unique weapon configurations or types such as customizing a machine gun into a bullpup configuration (with the firing grip in front of the breech rather than behind it), thus increasing mobility and handling without compromising on damage output.
After-Market Parts will also offer new progression paths, and challenges to unlock. We will be sharing more information on these innovations in the coming weeks.
As discussed in the Carry Forward Deep Dive Q&A Blog, a vast amount of content and weapon progression from Modern Warfare II will come with you to Modern Warfare III. That means every Multiplayer weapon you currently have in your MWII arsenal, along with all the new weapons available in Modern Warfare III, will be accessible to use on Day One.
For the first time, team up with other squads to survive and fight massive hordes of the undead in the largest Call of Duty Zombies map ever.
