Fire Service and Emergency Management Colleagues,

My name is Darrell Reid, and I am the Fire Chief and Deputy Director of Emergency Management for Strathcona County Emergency Services in Alberta, Canada. As a component of my studies in the United States Fire Administration / National Fire Academy Executive Fire Officer Program, I have undertaken an Applied Research Project titled "An analysis of strategies to improve emergency notification systems in Strathcona County."

In support of this research, I am asking representatives from Emergency Management agencies and organizations in Canada and the United States for their perspectives on emergency management in their community or stakeholder group, including emergency notification systems (community emergency alerting systems).
