Trinity College London(https://www.trinitycollege.com/) seeks a natural and strategic leader to be its Director, English Language India. Reporting to the Executive President, S and SE Asia, with an additional reporting line to the global Director of Language, this role will lead Trinity’s English Language offer for teachers and learners in India, identifying opportunities, and inspiring and supporting colleagues to deliver a vision.
The successful applicant will be an experienced builder of relationships and partnerships, both internally and externally, across a wide range of stakeholders. They will be able to influence colleagues and share resources to deliver overall strategic objectives across a global matrix management structure but aligned with core corporate objectives. They will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills; a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the Indian education system; and a strong understanding and experience of English Language pedagogies, assessment and teacher training.
The responsibilities of the role will include, ensuring that Trinity has the right offer for India, and the right support in place for our products and services to flourish. This includes identifying and leading new opportunities for Trinity’s English Language offer in India. The successful applicant will develop a culture that is in keeping with the values of Trinity, whilst driving fresh thinking and innovation and leading the development of new strategic partnerships with government, businesses and schools. They will act as an interface between the core academic teams in the UK, and the local academic team in India and build excellent relationships across the international stakeholder landscape. Working with the global Director of Language, they will plan relevant market and academic research on the learning and teaching context in India. They will represent Trinity at India-based English language conferences and other external events, to actively promote Trinity in a positive and commercially beneficial way.
