Hi,

I'd like to request a new parameter for `efibootguard` to suppress any screen output during boot. I think the output I'm referring to comes from bootloader and I would like to propose "quiet" option in order to suppress all output. We don't want to show our customers anything that is not relevant to them.

Regards,
-Dmitri

Errors should still be printed, but an option for being silent on normal
boots sounds reasonable.

Just my two cents: Systems I saw booting with efibootguard so far are so
fast, that you even cannot read the output if you are not very
concentrated at the exact moment. So is it really necessary? On the
other hand additional information is always very helpful, wether a customer
understands it or not. If he does not understand it, he can ignore it.
Well personally I never was a fan of boot logos hiding hardware info nor of
blank BIOS screens...

We as developers see things differently then the rest of the people :-)
Our product is designed for IoT market and devices will be deployed in
the field by technicians with just enough knowledge to use screwdriver
and plug the power. They may interpret these messages a if there is
something wrong with the device. This information completely irrelevant
to them (and to anybody at the customer side) and can cause only
confusion. The "quiet" option would address this issue but it not
necessarily has to be the default.
