I am a 67 year old great grand father who is wondering why this country has to fight so doggone hard each and every day to keep the wolves off of the backs of it's citizens.

Why do the ideologue's always use hate and smear tactics on the Sahara Palins of the world. The Sean Hannity's, Rush limbaus, Bill Oreilly's, Phyilis Schlafly's, eagle forum et la of this hard scape we call America are the only people that keep the wolves at bay and us sane.

I for one am very tired of it all, the current administration has taken us down the primrose lane with out even a hug or a song to make us feel better just a Treasury Director that looks as weasely as a mear cat (excuse me mearcats) eating thistles, all teeth and gums.

so that is some what of the things that are bothering me. Thanks for listening.

I agree Richard: Thanks for posting! Why do we have to fight for our freedoms when our freedoms should be already be protected by our Constitution?

But that is what freedom is and requires.  None have gotten it or sustained it without fighting for it.  Once we stop fighting for it we have lost it.  And that is what is happening today.  Our society has gotten soft and lazy and is not interested in accepting the inconvenience of understanding and paying attention to what is happening in our willfull surrender of our rights and liberties, let alone be willing to fight fo rthem.

The O'Bama administration this past week just argued before the Supreme Court that they have the right to Ban Books if even 1 line in a 500 page tome criticizes a public official withiin 90 days of an election...................

And the solience is deafeing as this is simply an accepted statement.

May I put in a thought that has been running through my mind this morning.
The main stream media (MSM) keeps the public interested in sports, the immoral goings on in Hollywood and other high profile people, but very little on what is happening in government.  Very little or too late, do we see information on what is in the bills that Congress and the president are working on.
Never on whether the bills are Constitutional or not, which is most of them.
The bailout, the stimulus spending, conferring with other countries as to how much money will be printed to give to failed banks are all violations of the constitution and should never be written or passed.  But the MSM keeps all those things a secret from the public.
We need to abolish the FED, and return to a gold or sliver back currency.

Good observation!  Hopefully some of our EF members will have some good ideas.  I’m willing to do what I can to diminish the Fed’s power and influence in my life and sphere of influence.

I think the first step to abolishing the Federal Reserve is to education people on what the Federal Reserve System is and how it allows the government to control our money supply.

One step towards this goal might be achieved by an honest audit of the Federal Reserve System. Yes, right now, we have no idea who the Federal Reserve is lending to!

Cong. Ron Paul has sponsored HR1207, which has 55 co-sponsors, to require the Fed to be audited.

H.R.1207
Title: To amend title 31, United States Code, to reform the manner in which the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System is audited by the Comptroller General of the United States and the manner in which such audits are reported, and for other purposes.

Has your Representative co-sponsored this bill?

I have been watching this discussion and haven't had time to join in.
First, to say a little about myself, I have not been a politically
involved person, until lately. I would like to be able to just live my
life in freedom but there are those out there who want to take our
freedoms away, and at the head of the pack seems to be our own
government. And it is us the people's fault, who like me, believed the
congressmen and senators would do what they are being paid to do and
would use the constitution to be their guide and law. Our constitution
was based on biblical principals. Whether or not the people choose to
be Christians, we have to acknowledge that freedom comes from God. Our
forefathers knew this. They didn't institute a government religion,
but separated from a government religion in England giving us the
freedom to worship the way our own consciences may lead. England was
an oppressive government much like what we see now in America, we have
taxation without representation even worse than what England was
subjecting the colonies to. Because our people have gotten away from
doing what's right, from the bible, we now have a country being run by
godless men and women who because of their lack of character,
integrity, honesty, and patriotism are dismantling and destroying the
constitution upon which this country was fought and died for.

I say these things because no matter what political action we take to
get our country back, first we need to call upon God. Without God's
help we will never take it back. With that being said, please bear
with me I'm not trying to preach. Our two main political parties have
sold out to the globalist movement. If you don't believe that just
take a look at what they support, the U.N.and U.N. treaties and laws
that this forum is making people aware of. If you know your bible, you
know that there will be another world government and it is taking
shape beneath our noses. That doesn't necessarily mean America will be
part of it, but as of now we are headed that way. Groups like this one
can make a difference. I am thankful for the efforts of this forum to
intelligently bring the information the people disparately need to
make informed choices. If we only rely on the MSM then we are
indoctrinated to accept anything.

I have recently joined with like-minded action group and leading 3rd
party, The Constitution Party. If you've never heard of them don't
feel bad, I didn't either until after the election was over. I never
paid any attention to third parties because they seemed to be out
there if you know what I mean. There main purpose is to restore a
constitutional America. I believe many conservatives will leave the
other parties and join as well. They need more numbers to have the
impact they need. Ex-Congressman Virgil Goode of Virginia will be a
speaker at the party's spring convention in New Jersey. Here is a link
to more information on the event. http://www.constitutionparty.com/view_events.php.
He is the congressman who introduced the bill in 2007 to abolish the
Federal Reserve, which died in committee.

For more information on the Constitution Party please visit
www.constitutionparty.com
But don't stop there, we need to be blasting our elected officials
with emails, phone calls, letters, and faxes, letting them know we do
not agree with what they are doing. They work for us! This forum will
give us the knowledge and direction to take action! Thank you very
much!

To Ruth,

My Rep (Peter Roskam) has not yet co-sponsored HR1207 because it's in committee and bills can change so much there that he likes to wait until the final version before he signs on.

And i agree that the Fed needs audited (and abolished) and we need to educate people, but i'm not sure we have that much time left.

"Those who expect to reap the blessings of freedom, must undergo the fatigue of supporting it."
Thomas Payne

To CJ,

You're absolutely right!  We don't have 2 parties, we have one party with 2 names.

I met Ron Paul and Chuck Baldwin (Const. party) at the John Birch 50th anniversary celebration in Oct 08.  Both wonderful men.

To All,

If you don't already receive The New American (publication of The John Birch Society) i highly recommend it.  They talked about one world government 10 or so years ago.  They are on the forefront of news that you need to know.

(why they're not building the fence)

God gives people20the leaders they deserve.  Killing babies for 4 decades now, sodomy, all our other high crimes is not going to put us in a favorable light with Him.  But we do know that prayer has worked to change things in the past.  I recommend we put on "sack cloth and ashes" and pray for His Mercy.

A prayer we say every day-

O Merciful God, we cry to Thee for pardon and for mercy.
We are an “unbelieving and perverse generation.”
We are disobedient, disloyal and ungrateful to Thee.
We have excluded Thee from our homes, our schools,
our business places.  We are no longer worthy to be
called Thy children, But Merciful God, spare America.
Forgive us!  Save us from the scourge which we have
deserved.  Teach us Thy Law, and move our wills to serve
Thee, henceforth.  Merciful God, spare America!
