Dear colleagues,

This afternoon, Martina, Irene and I met to discuss the open EFES tickets:
We spent a couple of hours triaging and sorting through issues, especially the older ones that were left over from the 2017 EFES project, most of which we closed as redundant or expired. We have also added a few more tickets on more general issues and desiderata.

We suggest that the best way to move forward from here will be a conversation between (a) the larger group of those of us who are actively using EFES either in funded projects or our own work, and (b) the couple of currently funded projects (DigiByzSeal and IGCyr) that are about to plan their EFES customisations, with a view to consolidating our desiderata and plans for future work. I would also like to have a good think about what features individual projects have already added to their local EFES customisations, and that would be useful to merge into the main code base—primarily indices and search facets, but possibly other features as well.

We'll be in touch with further questions and to suggest a follow-up meeting soon.

All best,

Gabby

Especially at the moment, I may email at odd hours of the day and night/days of the week. I do not ever expect a reply outside of your working hours.

Dear all,
in today's EDAG meeting we planned to schedule our follow-up EFES meeting in June, just after the next EpiDoc release, on one of the following dates:
- June 14, 4pm - 6pm CEST
- June 15, 4pm - 6pm CEST
- June 16, 4pm - 6pm CEST
If you are intested in participating, please let us know which of these dates are OK for you by next Monday (May 2). It would be crucial to have at least one participant from each project that is currently developing EFES, so if none of these dates are OK for you, let us know anyway, so that we can find another one.
Thanks!
Irene

Dear EFES people,

As discussed in our last EDAG meeting, it would be great if all EFES users would meet to discuss open tickets, desiderata, and much more.

We will meet on June, 14 from 4pm to 6pm (CEST); you will receive a Zoom link in due course. It would be great if as many of you as possible could show up.

Looking forward to seeing many of you there!

All the very best from Cologne,

Martina
