Hello everyone! I recently acquired a rebel t6 and am trying to set it up for a stream I already have established. I downloaded the utility just as is instructs and then I find out that I need to subscribe for the extra features. that's not a problem or THE problem... My issue is, when I pushed the "upgrade" button, it had me create an account because i did not have one made prior to this, once I've completed the steps to get signed in, the window closed, and nothing happened on its own. so, I proceeded to the next button of available subscriptions and once I used the new login info, it took me to the plans, which I selected monthly initially. The window did not close on its own as if it was going to update the utility so I closed it after waiting a couple of minutes. After several logins, which is starting to get on my nerves with the multiple verifications each time, and computer restarts, AND combinations of having the camera plugged in and disconnected, I cannot seem to get the utility to recognize my subscription so I can adjust the video settings. Is there something that I am missing? Please help!
I have wanted to use the webcam utility for many months on my computer but no matter what I do it won't function and I receive the screenshot below along with a computer icon on my camera. I have a windows 10 PC will an intel CPU and an rtx 2070.
I have a friend who uses their eos R6 on their PC automatically recognizes my R as a webcam and displays an image. I think it is a driver issue or something because I compared my device manager and my control panel devices and printers and they are different than my friends. My camera appears as a canon digital camera in the unspecified section of control panel devices and printers. On his computer it appears in the devices section as a Canon R. I have included screenshots below.
I have previously installed and uninstalled EOS Utility Launcher Service a few times to get drivers and disabled it while trying to use the webcam but with no luck. One thing I have noticed is that when installing it doesn't show that it will install EOS 2 utility. My friend who can use my camera as a webcam doesn't use the EOS 2 utility.
I should have mentioned it in my original post but I had tried many things. I previously did both putting the camera on video mode with no luck and disabling EOS Utility Launcher Service with no luck either. I have also tried installing and uninstalling EOS Utility Launcher Service along with the webcam utility on my PC to see if that would work and fix the potential driver issue. I have also made sure that it is off when trying to use the webcam.

I've tried exiting the EOS Utility window after connecting the cable, I've also tried killing the background process /Applications/Canon Utilities/EOS Utility/EOS Utility.app/Contents/MacOS/EOS Utility still nothing changes, when I disconnect the usb cable the webcam looks like this:
I understand that MacOS is Unix underneath, and the lsof command works in a terminal window. You could use that to determine what has the camera device open, if anything. Also, note that the Canon EOS Utility will start up by preference and you must quit out of it before the streaming utility can work.
Hey, I just made an account to say I had the same problem for months, apparently the reason it wasn't working was because the EOS utility application is working, which is separate from the EOS webcam utility software. You will have to completely "Exit" out of the EOS utility so the Webcam utility has access to the camera.
I decided to jump on the bandwagon and try out the new "Pro" version of the webcam utility when I received the email. I even paid for the year subscription, hoping this software will solve a problem I had with the older version and let me use my M50 Mk II instead of my R6. However, when I start the software after subscribing, I am prevented from using any subscriber features, and every 30 seconds or so I receive a message: "Activation Service Access Failure". The utility app shows that I have an active subscription, but the activation service error continues to appear no matter how many times I follow the advice to logout and try again later.
Apparently, the issue is only happening on my main desktop computer running Windows 10 with all current updates. I am slowly removing other software to see if I can find the source of the conflict. At least I have alternatives available that do work, so I can move forward testing the utility during the trial phase. I really hope I don't have to reinstall everything on that computer to start fresh.

They were using our current release which is one version of the SDK behind. Our application is crashing on launch before the UI has fully instatiated so I think it is probably around the point at which the SDK is initialised. It is definitely an issue with the eos webcam utility (from here Canon U.S.A., Inc. EOS Webcam Utility ) as uninstalling that gets rid of the problem. I plan to do some tests with this myself today and will feed back if I get any more information

My D3500 is suppose to work with Nikon Webcam Utility (version 1), I installed it on my Mac and my PC and i have the same issues on both. My Camera is detected in my video applications but i have no image just a the Nikon Webcam utility logo (reversed)
