We are sad to report that Joe Maynard, who founded EFBC's Feline Conservation Center
in 1977, died at age 75 with his loved ones by his side after a
brief battle with cancer. A memorial fund has been established in his
name, donations can be sent to EFBC/FCC at 3718
60th Street West, Rosamond CA 93560. A private memorial will be held at EFBC on Saturday January 30 (facility closed to the public), while everyone is invited Sunday the 31st to celebrate his life (during regular operating hours 10 am to 4 pm). Joe dedicated his life to saving the endangered wild cats of the world.

cat home! You get an 8x10 color photo and your name displayed on the
cat's enclosure. There is a monthly fee (6 month minimum commitment) to
help pay the cat's food bill. Call

pacific time to ask who is currently available. A female Sand Cat may also be available. Two 1 year old male tigers will be arriving in a few weeks from the Alexandria Zoo in Louisiana.
We have one more event upcoming this year, After Dark Red Light tours on December 5. A special opportunity for guests to visit the center

darkness. Doors open at 5:30 pm and the last tour departs at 9 pm.
