- Date: 19th - 26th of April 2008
We will charter one or two boats from Saturday 19th to Saturday 26th of April 2008. (There is no Sunday-Sunday charter) Check-in is possible from Saturday afternoon on. We will most likely set sail around Sunday noon. Starting and ending point will be in Punat, Krk.
- What to expect
The journey is the reward. Sailing is fun and relaxing! Besides that, Croatia is a beautiful pilotage area. Rich islands, nice people, good food (excellent fish) and clean water. We will sail in the Kvarner bay south from Rijeka. Trips are decided on a daily basis, based on the weather, target for the night and mood of the crew.
Sometimes we spend the night in a harbour (eating out, shower, electricity, freshwater), sometimes we will be mooring in a desert bay (cooking/eating on the ship). Travelling distance in one week will be around 150 nautical miles, max speed about 8 knots. Typical yacht
http://www.bavaria-yachts.com/46/indexnew.htm In mid of April I expect air temperatures around 10-20 degrees and water temperatures of 15 degrees. Besides a bikini we will also need some warm outdoor clothes. I will bring along drugs to suppress seasickness Stugeron,
Cinnarizin).
- Program (preliminary)
19.4. Saturday afternoon, check-in to the boat, big shopping in supermarket
20.4. Sunday, late arriving passengers, first sailing day
25.4. Friday afternoon, arrival, clean-up and formal check-out.
26.4. Saturday morning, definite check-out

- Costs
These are estimates. Costs will be around 400 EUR per person. After covering initial costs, the excess of your payment in advance of
400 EUR will be the starting capital of the common purse. Depending on how "aggressive" consumption will be, a max of another 100 EUR per person will be spent.
Calculation:
900 EUR Boat for one week, 6 berth
200 EUR skipper and crew liability insurance, damage security deposit
waiver
100 EUR diesel and dinghi outboard engine
400 EUR food on board and beer
200 EUR harbour fees
Normally we also cover restaurant visits from the common purse
(gourmands should adjust their contribution). Eating out in restaurants:
12(meat)..30(fish) EUR/evening/person including drinks etc.
- Legal Things
We will agree to an informal common sense agreement.
- All costs are paid in equal shares.
- Insurance for accident/illness is your own responsibility.
- No legal actions amongst crew members, except gross negligence.
- It's your job to find a replacement if you back out and nobody is on the waiting list. I'll have an according, small crew agreement ready to sign when you are CP2boarding. Just a formality.
- About Leo(Skipper):
yacht masters license since 2005, 2 weeks of maneuver training, 6 trips with sailing yachts from 35-47 feet (with friends, Baltic Sea and Greece), trips in 2006 and 2007 in Croatia (kornati islands) as Skipper in charge.
