Dear EENPS members,
We are delighted to share with you the program for the EENPS conference this September. It has been put together with great care by our Co-Chairs of the Program Committee Elena Popa and Aviezer Tucker. Huge thanks to them and also to the members of the PC for their quality reviewing. I hope you will agree the program is very impressive and covers cutting edge research in philosophy of science from all over Europe.
I look forward to seeing you in Bucharest if you are coming. The local organising committee headed by Bianca Savu are working hard to ensure smooth organisation and plenty of opportunities for networking and intellectual exchange. Note especially the lunchtime event on the 18th for early career scholars organised kindly by Aleksandra Knežević and later that evening the reception and the keynote lecture by Professor Sabina Leonelli at the New Europe College, who are generously hosting us for a conference dinner as well. On the 19th we remain at the University of Bucharest for the whole day with a keynote by Professor Jalobeanu and the General Assembly in the evening.
The regular EENPS activities are ongoing:
- Anna Martin is collecting your publications to the regular newsletter, please continue to send them to this email address.
- Gabriel Tarziu is curating a new blog with interviews of our members on their experiences doing philosophy of science in the region. Please check out their moving stories: https://eenps.weebly.com/blog - In August we will be electing five new members of the Steering Committee. The nominations are open till July 15th, we will be glad to receive your statement of intent. After that please look out for an email in August with instructions to vote.
- Zdenka Brzovic is continuing to organise the mentoring scheme. Please recommend it to your colleagues and students.
That's all the news for now. Thank you again for your support and participation and have a restful summer!
Anna Alexandrova
on behalf of the Steering Committee
