Sir, the total marks have been stated to be out of 240 but some of the groups have total more than that. Can you please clarify the same.

wrongly calculated total. You have also added group number in the total.

How?
Project 1, 2 and 3 were 80 each
Have a look at excel sheet once.
You have also added project group number in the final total

        i think you have added the group no. in the total marks, thats why it is going beyond 240 for some groups.
