Screen flickering during Effects

Whenever I call a EffectFade or EffectSlide, the rest of my scene
"shakes" ever so slightly during the effect, then stablizes once the
effect is done. Has anyone else had something like this happen?

That's interesting....if I take off the normal mapping on the floor of
my scene, the flickering goes away....
