Pantech Solutions the flagship company was started way back in 2004. It was humdinger of a journey all these years, with the spread of its wings, and expansion of its functionalities. In 2014, two new divisions were carved from Pantech : CE3IT (Center for Excellence in Electrical, Electronics and Information Technology) and TechGurukul. Former is the Custom Design and Automation services Arm and later the Training arm of Pantech Group of companies.
The below Document focuses on the New Era of Networks and the importance of the same . This shall be useful to get some basic ideas on the networking domain , which is the trending new area of research ..
Future Technologies in Wireless Communication:
If we want to design a network with new technology, It is difficult to know whether is it work 100% correctly or not. May be it will work correctly. If it is not worked, the complete system is collapsed. Much more cost effective. So to avoid these types of failures we use the Simulation before implementing in a real time.
Network Simulator:
The network simulator is the one of the simulation software especially developed for researches under networking. NS provides substantial support for simulation of TCP/UDP, Routing Layer, and multicast protocols over wired and wireless (local and satellite) networks. NS is not a polished and finished product, but the result of an on-going effort of research and development.
Need of Simulation:
The three main techniques to analyze the behavior of wired and wireless networks are:
ð Analytical Modeling,
ð Computer Simulations
ð Real Time Physical Measurements.
The architecture of NS-2 is composed of five components:
• Event Scheduler (there are four: List, Heap, Calendar and Real),
• Network Components (like nodes, links, protocols, etc),
• Tool command language command language (Tclcl),
• Object Oriented Tcl (OTcl) library and
• TCL scripting language.
NS-2 has C++ as the back-end language and TCL as the front-end language.
Different Areas can solved by NS2 efficiently,
ð MANET (Mobile Ad hoc NETwork)
ð VANET (Vehicular Ad hoc NETwork)
ð WSN (Wireless Sensor Network)
ð WMN (Wireless Mesh Network)
ð WIMAX/WLAN
ð RAN (Radio Access Network)
ð CRN (Cognitive Radio Network)

Note: Your skills are evaluated based on your project. Networks are the most wanted and a promising Domain in the recent trends and doing any project in the NS2 Domain will surely add weightage to your Career & Future prospects. Do your project in the network simulator and add weightage to your Project…
