a) Go directly for research, work in the industry later (MS --> job)

b) Work in the industry, do research, and keep doing it (job --> MS/PhD)

c) Work in the industry, do research, then work with your research interests in the industry (job -> MS -> another job)

d) Do research full-time after graduating, take stints with industry for some years
