Hello all!
Earth Day is around the corner (April 22nd, but you can celebrate any
time in April), and it is time to start thinking about what you can do
to celebrate!
If you already have Earth Day plans, then I invite you all to share
them on our Earth Day Action Map, a searchable K-12 idea-sharing
platform for Earth Day activities that will plot your efforts
alongside thousands of others who have chosen to support our
environment in celebrating Earth Day 2011. To add your event, visit
http://act.earthday.org/K12Schools.
If you do not have anything planned for Earth Day, then we have a K-12
Schools Guide with tips and ideas about how district officials,
teachers, students, and parents can get involved in Earth Day
activities. Our Education Page,
http://earthday.org/education, has
over 400 environmentally focused lesson plans and over 300 pages of
school greening instructions that should help with Earth Day planning.
If you are a parent who wants to plane a special event for your child,
check out
http://earthday.org/education/parents.
This is my one and only post to this list, so if you have any
questions or comments for me (or if you want to request lesson plans),
please send an email to
educ...@earthday.org.
Good day to you all,
Ethan Case
