Combination lock

Hi Captains,

A quick update on things. I've been working with the Cal Athletics people to figure out what we can do to make sure that we don't run into more problems in the future, in light of the cancelled game this past Monday.

Most notably, Cal Athletics will be installing a combination lock at the softball field, with a combination that will change weekly. I will be sent this combination before Monday mornings by the Cal Athletics staff, and I will send it to you all by early Monday afternoon. If you don't see it by 3pm or so, send me a reminder, but I plan to get it to you well before then. We are expected to lock the gates when we leave for the night, and the security team will be by at 10pm to check that it's locked.

They have also assured me that the lights and sprinklers are all set properly now, though I'm still working to get contact information for someone that can help us if we do run into problems there in the future. It seems that they do not have much in the way of after-hours staff, so I'm not sure how far I'll get in that regard. I'll keep you posted.

Hopefully the lock situation will at least be a start in the right direction here.
