Hi Stefan!
Thanks for the introduction, Avery- it sounds like this will be a fun visit! I know that some of us at the CBE have been in touch with folks at UBC, so hopefully this will help to build the connection! It's a good week to stop by- we should all be around, starting the semester. Maybe we could convince you to give us a presentation on your research while you're here, and invite the EE&C lab as well?
Let me know what I can do to facilitate your visit- maybe you and I should chat more about some specific professors or topics you're particularly interested in. Sounds like your research really matches what we do here, in breadth as well as depth, so I'm sure it will be a fruitful visit!
All the best!

Avery, thanks for the intro.
I am a PhD student working at UBC, Vancouver, on various aspects of sustainable building design and performance. I am planning to visit SF some time around Sept 7th-8th and I am interested in learning more about the research activities at the Center for the Built Environment. I am working on several projects right now including POE for commercial buildings, life cycle costing and life cycle analysis at the building scale. The main themes of my work are energy efficiency, regenerative design, occupant behaviour, carbon mitigation and policy. Recent work includes reviewing IEQ problems, especially with respect to naturally ventilated buildings.
If we have overlapping interests then it would be great to meet up! Let me know if you interested and we can take it from there.
All the best,
Stefan
