Plone 4.3 and dexterity

I tried installing eea.relations 6.1 with a fresh Plone 4.3 install via buildout : I added eea.relations to my list of eggs ; and I added eea.relations and eea.relations.default to my list of zcml slugs. When I create a new Plone site with eea.relations as an active module, I can see the "possible relations" config panel. And I can use this config panel. But I encounter several issues :

1/ Whenever I add a new content-type in the config panel, I get an error message which ends with :

• Module plone.app.contentmenu.view, line 29, in menu
• Module zope.browsermenu.menu, line 87, in getMenuItems
• Module zope.browsermenu.menu, line 183, in getMenu
• Module eea.facetednavigation.settings.menu, line 62, in getMenuItems

ValueError: unsupported format character '/' (0x2f) at index 33

I can then ignore the message, get back to the config panel and create further content-types (with getting the same error msg) and possible relations.

2/ When I create an new item in the site and go to the categorization tab, I see the new "Related item" widget. I click on it. It opens the "related items" popup. I see "Loading" in the tab and no "current relations". But nothing ever loads in this popup which is then unusable.

As a consequence I wonder : is eea.relations 6.1 compatible with Plone 4.3 ?

Second question : can its relations widget also be used for additional dexterity content types I would create on Plone 4.3 (beyond default content types) ?

I hope it can be used in Plone 4.3 on dexterity items very soon because I think this product is fantastic and a dexterity-compatible versions would be terrific.

Hi Jean,

We didn't yet migrated eea packages to Plone 4.3, it will be done in the following week(s) so most probably the errors you encounter are for this reason.

Regarding Dexterity compatibility its a plan for the future, so if you got the resources to implement that it will be mostlly apreciated.

Hi Jean,

If you are interested to follow up when eea.relations will be ready for Plone 4.3 I can subscribe you to our internal issue regarding the upgrade. Once http://taskman.eionet.europa.eu/issues/14323 will be fixed all eea packages will work under Plone 4.3
