A student asked:
My partner and I have been having problems lately securing a bench in
the lab during assigned lab times. Today during the 3-6 lab, all the
stations were completely taken, and no one was leaving at all. I think
this is due to the presence of a few people from other classes, people
who are, like us, not checked off yet, as well as 105 people from other
lab times. This is an issue because we may not have sufficient time to
get it working and checked off tomorrow morning--it'll probably be even
more packed than today. We're going to get there as early as we can to
get a bench, but the circuit functionality itself is in question. Is it
possible to perhaps extend the deadline or lower the requirements for
checkoff?
Answer:
The lab is mostly empty this morning, so that should help.
Crowded labs around project due dates are unfortunately a fact of life
at Berkeley (and every other university that I've ever been affiliated
with). No extension, sorry.
