I was imagining a kind of genealogy of drones and droning. Mythology, movies, insects, dragons and other things that hurl down fire, birds as extensions of sight, aerial photography, zombies, mind-control, displaced consciousness, the homunculus and other difficult seats of the soul, the tension between increased perception and the absence of awareness, black boxes, tinted windows, eye lids, one way mirrors and other things that veil perception, and.... what else?
