This is an unofficial community forum for Earth Engine enthusiasts based in India or elsewhere who are working on India specific themes and problems using Remote Sensing/GIS.

A few of us who work on Google Earth Engine realised the potential it has to improve collaboration among groups using remote sensing for impact in India. However the lack of a dedicated forum was still one of the barriers keeping a community from forming. This entirely community owned and managed forum is an effort in that direction. The forum is open to members of any level of expertise, from beginners and the curious to experienced users. With a group of organizers and experienced Earth Engine users from the community as well as folks from Google Earth Engine team amongst us, let us make this forum a learning and supportive platform for all of us!

This forum is not meant to replace the Earth Engine Developers Forum which we feel is the best place to get your technical queries resolved. Instead, this group hopes to encourage discussions, collaborations, meet-ups, hackathons etc. in India-specific topics of Remote Sensing/Earth Observation for Impact (eg. NRSC, Bhuvan, etc).

Please introduce yourself to the group under the Introductions section to begin with.
