Youtube shutdown old api

Hello guys,

I recently discover youtube shutdown the old api (https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/6098135?hl=en),

and apparently in edx still use this old api to check if the video exist or not like this http://gdata.youtube.com/feeds/api/videos/XXXVIDEOXXIDXXX?v=2&alt=jsonc&callback=jQuery17203566422413568944_1433952367279&_=1433952368141

and the problem appear on edx if you have the default video on youtube and the seconde one on S3, it will take the video s3 insead of youtube

Hello Focan,

I noticed same problem as well, for now it seems that this problem have been handled by just skipping error code of response json data from old Youtube API.

So you can get new code as following link.

Actually I've already mentioned this on old topic as below though nobody respond yet.

However I think that'd be temporary for now because requesting Youtube old API remain using.

New Youtube API should be used instead of old one.
