LaTeX usage in ORA prompt text

Hello everyone! In the course we are developing there are "Open Response Assessment" problems on mathematics. The thing is, I find myself unable to use LaTeX in the prompt text. In the other types of problems, everything works just fine, but here the formulas are not rendered and remain to display as "\( some TeX \)". Moreover, when I try to switch "Allow LaTeX responses" on and save the settings, it simply resets to off. Is there anything I can do about this?
