Hi,

I am interested in building a online course site with the edX code, but I would like also to have real-time clickstream data to perform some kinds of machine learning.

Does anyone know if there is a module in the code that may help with generating clickstream data? Or I have to use a third-party tool? Any recommendations?

Thanks!

Hello,

The current version of the platform generates a "tracking log" with clickstream information. The format is raw log files, which you will have to parse to process. The format is documented here: http://edx.readthedocs.org/projects/devdata/en/latest/ in the Tracking Logs section.

There are some tools to process the files here: https://github.com/edx/edx-tools
