  Hello All

I just want to ask if openedx offers free hosting. or it's just a software?
and if edx offers that hosting , are there any restrictions around?

Thanks in advance

Eman

Eman,

We don't offer hosting at the moment.  http://edx.org hosts courses for our members, and other institutions host their own instances.  We're talking with some potential partners about offering hosting, but there's nothing ready yet.  What sorts of courses would you host?  What would you be looking for in a service like that?

Ned,

I would like to host my own instance by my self, but I do not know how to do it, I have a server running, but how can I do to implement Open edX in my server?

I don't think there is such a service you want at edx.org.
But you can check this if you want to start hosting edx manually.
You should start a demonstration version with fullstack and later setup a production server using native installation.
Good luck

OpenCraft has a free self-hosting betatest, with LMS and Studio, pre-installed and ready to use. These are dedicated instances, with a personalized instance name, a production-grade setup and free upgrades to new versions of Open edX when they are released.
