Course Rating

Greetings to all Edx developers,

I've been searching online and edx-platform codebase for "Course Rating" feature on open-edx.I found an xblock for rating a video component (https://github.com/UC3Mx/ratingXBlock), but how a student can rate the whole course.

Please let me know if this feature exists, and pardon me for wasting your precious time. If it doesn't exists, i will love to create it and contribute to open-edx.

It is possible to implement course rating as an xblock, or i can work on edx-platform codebase directly. Feedbacks are appreciated.

I believe that course rating feature on edx.org is a Drupal add-on, and not something that's in the core Open edX platform. A potential customer was asking for this capability, and so we did a bit of research and discovered that there are already a few existing Django add-ons that would probably be suitable to provide this functionality. It would need a bit of integration work to be able to rate courses or even units within a course, but probably wouldn't be too much work.

Using https://www.djangopackages.com/search/?q=ratings , django-ratings has the most # of stars on Github, but the last PyPi release was in 2012. :(

django-ratings github page lists the project as unmaintained.
django-star-ratings still seems very new. First commit was April 15th, and they're only on version 0.3.
pinax-ratings seems to be at about the same level of development as django-star-ratings
