OpenEdx issue with bulk email

I have configured bulk email. Other emails are working correctly.

I'm stuck with the below message which is strange one as it seems that for some reason PYP- extension is added to the verified email which is con...@mydomain.com

SMTPSenderRefused: (550, 'From address must match authenticated address', u'"Seminar: Publishing Your Paper Course Staff" <PYP-c...@mydomain.com>'

Any idea from where this might be coming?

Hi Mario,

The PYP- prefix is added by this method. You can override that by setting a "course_email_from_addr" site configuration value for your site in the django admin. You can find an example of that at https://edx.readthedocs.io/projects/edx-installing-configuring-and-running/en/latest/configuration/sites/configure_site.html.

However, this is for individual sites - can I somehow make it for all sites - like by default?

I looked the tasks.py code and cannot find where PYP is added - maybe I can change it in the code itself?

Any idea?
