Certificate not showing up

So, 

Over the last few days I have been struggling to get certificates to work with the bitnami version of openedx. 

I have followed the tutorial available here https://edx.readthedocs.io/projects/edx-installing-configuring-and-running/en/latest/configuration/enable_certificates.html. 

I have followed the  following video guide showing me how to setup a certificate https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IJvMjou8e64. 

I can do everything there up until 4:54. 

Even though I have enabled student certificates and generated them my progress section merely displays the two bars at 100% and lacks the ask for a certificate banner. 

Any idea what I might be missing?

Usually I see this because of a discrepancy between the certificate mode and the learner's enrollment mode. If the certificate is for course mode 'honor', but the learner is enrolled in 'audit' mode, then they won't see the option to generate a certificate. Have you checked that?

You have to enabled a setting in the Lms admin .there is a model named certification generation configuration in the certificate app which have enabled field that have to ticked.

After the above settings enabled you will find a certificate tab when login in Lms as a instructor.

1)So enable the field of a model in Lms admin.
2)login as instructor in Lms.
3) open a course .
4)click instructor tab .
5) then u will find certificate tab(which is enabled becoz of above settings)
6) click on certificate tab
7) then u will a button labelled Enable students certificate.
8) click it.
9) then all students who are enrolled in honor mode and has passed the course will find option to generate certificate in the 'progress'tab.
