Since Saturday seems like a day when everyone can meet, and Shivers recommends a tasty looking pizza place--http://goo.gl/Rqls. How are people feeling to meeting there at noon, talking and working until 3ish or everything being settled?

Our goal as of now is BlindMacs. Here's what we think we need to get started:

* ScratchBuffers--A minimal implementation of buffers
** This could be as simple as a record with group, mark-ring, modes, comtabs
** We are going to plumb through the buffer files and see what things we can pull over without much effort.
* Fundamental Mode--modefs.scm
** Much functionality will be missing, but lots of core editing functionality will be in place.
** Gives us pretty much a working set of things to implement and port once we have basic functionality.
* I(/O)
** From what we can tell, we're going to need to parse input.
** We've been looking into Duncan's terminfo library and it looks promising. As of now we're having trouble getting the tests to run.
** We're curious as to whether it is wise to wrap some higher-level C library (ncurses?) and use that instead.

We're more excited than every to hack this stuff out. We think that we could have something interesting to show by the end of next week.
