I'm interested in using deconseq for cleaning up RNA-seq reads of a non-model fish gill transcriptome. From the manual it appears trivial to create a human database to search against, but I can't imagine that's the case for the myriad bacterial or viral species, which is what I am most interested in filtering out.

I cannot seem to access to the Edward's lab FTP site to get their database (ftp://edwards.sdsu.edu:7009/deconseq/db/). Is there another source for this database or anyone who's be willing to share it (securely)?

Thanks! Stu
