hello,

I have a bunch of 8 jobs uploaded to Ribopicker that have been stuck for 7-8 days at "100% run" with no report generated. The jobs have neither timed out nor made reports and now seem eternally stuck on the cluster.

Jobs uploaded after this one have just sat in the queue without starting for nearly 7 days, presumably held up by the ones not generating a report.

cheers
Helen

Unfortunately we are experiencing an overwhelming demand on our cluster, and everything is taking way longer to run than we'd hope.

We apologize for the delay, and we are getting through the analysis as quickly as we can.

I have to say that since I have began using Ribopicker at the start of August 2013, my fail rate is now nearly on par with my success rate. I have uploaded 69 files since mid-August for which no data was available due to issues with the cluster. I have uploaded and downloaded results for 78 files.

It is a great resource which I am thankful to use so I hope the delays may be overcome in the future.

Is there some way you can let people know on the website that there are delays or issues with the cluster before they decide to upload files?

Thank you.

Hi, currently we are experiencing quite an overload of processing capabilities on our online server for a few of our lab tools.  All of our 60 nodes are occupied, and there are 3,600 more jobs queued waiting to run. I believe there are 14 of your jobs running currently, they were started on 09/26/2013, and I can see many more ~3000 that are probably yours waiting in the queue. (single submissions get split into multiple jobs to run in parallel) We will be updating our servers to handle more, but until then I can suggest installing the standalone version.  Sorry for the inconvenience.

We restarted the queue to clear out the 3000+ jobs, many of which where submitted multiple times. We are working on the cluster and it should be ready for new submissions by the end of next week. We apologize for any inconvenience that might cause. Please give the standalone version a try if you have to process large amounts of data. Thanks!
