Google Apps for Education

Great Idea.
Ironically, I was unable to join the group with my google apps for
education account.

Hadn't even thought about that--as best as I can tell, though, you can't use a Google Apps/Google Apps for Education account to join any Google Group without registering a (non-apps) Google account with your apps e-mail address. Anyone know of another way?

This account is a Google apps acct. I am not sure if I registered a regular gmail acct. with it.
