Hi,

I'm starting an educational publishing company, Common Curriculum. We help small, independent publishers publish their curriculum online and school districts share it internally.

In our work, we need digital versions of state standards so users can create standards-aligned materials. My friend, Daniel, is developing an API for access state standards. He's shown me a preview of it and it looks really good. It's still in development and he's looking for feedback. If this interests you, e-mail him at danieljyoo at gmail.

I'm very interested in this. I've been looking for this exact thing for a while now. Thanks!

Same here. I tinkered with a way to catalog resources by state standards awhile back, but had to switch gears to a different project. I'd love to see what you guys are working on. Thank you!

Thanks for posting this Scott! Aaron, great idea to start this group--
just joined.

The API is very rough at the moment but you can get a feel for where
it is heading.

1) Find an individual standard by UUID
http://api.eno.me/standards/02ead347-1bb8-558d-8989-3d32a1d54e75

2) Find an individual standard by standard set label
http://api.eno.me/standards/CCSSI/4.NF.4

3) Search for the word "fractions"
http://api.eno.me/standards/search/fractions

Everything is returned in JSON (I am using JSONView Firefox add on
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/jsonview/).

Currently, I just have a couple hours on the weekend to continue
developing this, but it is something I am very committed to as my
project requires an API like this. Would love to know about the API
itself (e.g. schema and REST interface) as well as how you might plan
on using it.

What are you using as your source material?

It originally was the standards downloaded from the common core
website, then entered into excel, exported as CSV.
