One-size-fits-all testing standards, unionized teachers with no incentive to improve, and the influence of Progressive curriculum have all undermined the teaching of our children and grandchildren—America’s future citizens and leaders.
But Hillsdale is leading a charge to provide America’s children with classical K-12 education, including a strong civics component of history, government, and economics.
Hillsdale’s Barney Charter School Initiative is becoming one of the leading initiatives to restore the kind of education that is essential to the preservation of free government. In just three years, this initiative has helped found 15 schools – with a goal of 50 by 2022.
In fact, the Golden View Classical Academy in Golden, Colorado went from an idea to a fully-chartered school with 500 students (and a crowded waitlist) in just one year! And that’s just one story of many.
