The Moritz Experience in LL.M. for Students from the Eurasia Area
In the competitive world that we live in, there are many ways to enhance your career goals and opportunities in the legal field. At The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law in Columbus, there are a variety of ways for you to develop your skills to become an outstanding lawyer. You can learn about and practice dispute resolution in the Mediation Clinic, or you can get firsthand experience with the legislative process in the US in our Legislation Clinic. You can also gain valuable skills while studying abroad at Oxford in England or participating in an externship during our Washington D.C. Summer Program. LL.M. students have the opportunity to compete in three of the six Moot Court and Lawyering Skills Programs.
The potential for professional growth while studying at Moritz is vast to say the least, but many students struggle to find funding to afford a US education. At Moritz, we do not want finances to be a deterrent. Because of that, we strive to keep our tuition affordable and we offer a wide range of scholarships. We offer the Scholarship for Europe, which offers $15,000 to two exceptional students every year who obtained their LL.B. degree from Europe. For students who do not receive the Scholarship for Europe, we also offer the LL.M. Scholarship, which awards up to $10,000 to strong applicants. Citizens from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, the Russian Federation, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, or Uzbekistan are eligible for the Edmund S. Muskie Ph.D. Fellowship. The Moritz College of Law offers partial tuition waivers to Muskie fellows, effectively lowering the tuition amount to Ohio resident rates.
We also recently held a webcast for prospective applicants that is available online. Feel free to view our webcast.
Apply to Moritz today for the chance to grow at an institution that places significant importance on academic success, practical skills development, and cultural experiences. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us at mori...@osu.edu or 614-292-1241. For more, please visit our website.
