CORNELL UNIVERSITY ASSISTANTSHIPS With 5200 graduate and professional students in nearly 100 fields of study, the Graduate School administers all graduate and professional degrees at Cornell except the D.V.M., J.D., L.L.M., M.B.A.,, and M.D. degrees. The Graduate School provides critical strategic leadership and administrative and academic structures within which a diverse group of students and faculty in the graduate field system find the support, governance systems, and encouragement to thrive intellectually and professionally and achieve academic excellence. UNIVERSITY OF GEORGIA SCHOLARSHIPS AND FELLOWSHIPS The University attracts students nationally and internationally as well as from within Georgia. It offers the state's broadest array of possibilities in graduate and professional education, and thus a large minority of the student body is post-baccalaureate. The Graduate School administers all graduate programs of the University. It offers the Master of Arts in 35 disciplines, the Master of Science in 51 disciplines and the Doctor of Philosophy in 79 disciplines. Professional master’s degrees are available in 32 areas, and professional doctoral degrees are offered in education, music, and public health. The University also awards the Master of Education in 19 areas, the Specialist in Education in 19 areas and the Doctor of Education in 12 areas. INTERNATIONAL HOUSE MIDDLE EASTERN AFFAIRS STUDY GRANTS For more than 88 years, the I-House experience of international cultural exchange in a diverse community has transformed the lives of more than 65,000 people. An independent, non-profit organization, International House has enjoyed distinguished leadership since its inception. Past Chairmen of the Board have included two former U.S. Presidents, three Secretaries of State, and a former Chairman of the U.S. Federal Reserve. WIDENER UNIVERSITY SCHOOL OF LAW TO HOST VIRTUAL INFORMATION SESSION To provide interested students and applicants more information on our available LL.M. programs, Widener University School of Law will be hosting a free virtual information session broadcast live from the Delaware Campus on Wednesday, April 3, 2013, at 9:00 a.m. Eastern Standard Time. To participate, please make sure that your computer has Adobe Flash software installed prior to the webinar. OHIO UNIVERSITY OFFERS NEW JOURNALISM MINOR Ohio University's E.W. Scripps School of Journalism is proud to offer a new Journalism Minor. The Journalism Minor offers students an overview of the role of media in society and an understanding of basic theories and practices of newsgathering and strategic communication. The minor helps students to communicate information about their major disciplines to a wide audience across multiple media platforms. SYRACUSE UNIVERSITY DEVELOPS SUMMER COURSES TO HELP INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS ADJUST A bridge program to acclimate international students to academic and cultural aspects of the United States during the summer is in the works at Syracuse University. CREIGHTON UNIVERSITY CELEBRATES DIVERSITY ON CAMPUS The International Student Association is a group at Creighton University devoted to celebrating and learning about the different cultures around the world, especially those of Creighton’s student body. |
