Subject: Article 25 and YOU!

Hello Everyone,

As you might have heard by now - from me or others - Article 25 is a new paper starting operation on June 1, 2011. With Greg Flannery as editor, this newspaper will be loaded with stories and information not being covered by any other local media.

The reason I'm writing is to ask you to add Article 25 to any distribution lists your have for press releases, announcements and interesting tid-bits. Please use in...@article25online.org.

If you know writers, graphic designers, community members or anyone else that might be interested in making contributions to the paper, pass along that email address and/or direct them to the Web site to learn more www.article25online.org.

We are also looking for partners to help us reach the various human- rights defenders, ethnic communities, social service agencies and others in our area that will want to offer story ideas and help spread the word about Article 25. Our two-part mission is:

Informing, challenging and inspiring readers; and providing employment opportunities for people who have the desire to turn their lives around – those with criminal records, those who are homeless and those struggling within the confines of a traditional means of employment

The Universal Declaration of Human Rights is our Guiding Principle. Our name was inspired by Article 25 of that document. Like the 61 countries who signed the declaration, we believe:

“Everyone has the right to a standard of living adequate for the health and well-being of (oneself and of one’s) family, including food, clothing, housing and medical care and necessary social services, and the right to security in the event of unemployment, sickness, disability, widowhood, old age or other lack of livelihood in circumstances beyond (one’s) control.”

This non-profit paper is a bi-weekly with new editions available on the 1st and 15th of every month. Eventually all contributors will receive a freelance fee for their work, but we have to prove ourselves as a viable entity before we'll be able to garner the financial support of supporters such as regular donors, foundations and subscribers (the paper will be available via distributors throughout Cincinnati but also via snail-mail for those who subscribe).

Have any ideas, suggestions or thoughts? Please let me know or drop a line to Greg gre...@article25online.org

Thanks and have a great weekend!
Margo
