:: "United Video Project" ::

as part of the "United Video Project" only 5 clips [each one 2-3sec long] were sent in so far (from Croatia, Rep. of Macedonia, Indonesia, the Netherlands and a longer one from Germany).
Unfortunately this is NOT enough to make a longer video (2-3min).
The idea is that each group records a few clips, where different people [sometimes students, pupils, teachers, parents and workers] say "Education is not for sale!" in "their" local language. Here is an example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mNbyrFuK0vU [but it doesn't have to be that long]

Therefore the deadline was extended and all groups are asked to send in their clips by Nov.24th!
Either send them directly to me or upload them somewhere online, where they can be downloaded again and send me the link.

:: Nov.17th + 24th ::
  • I tried to summarize the protests planned for Nov.24th so far [incl. strikes in France and Ireland]: http://emancipating-education-for-all.org/nov.24th
    Will this be the next "International Day of Action"? Consider all the protests taking place on that day, when you have your local actions, because ~ One World - One Struggle ~
:: Chat Meetings ::
  • About 10 activists from Austria, Germany, France, Croatia, Rep. of Macedonia, Ireland, Puerto Rico and Switzerland joined todays chat meeting. We decided that this is not enough to actually evaluate the "Global Week of Action" and/or discuss on how we shall continue together in our struggle for free and emancipatory public education.
    Therefore I will not call for another chat meeting again, unless activists from at least 10 groups confirm in advance, that they will attend it!
    If you can confirm now, that you would attend an international chat meeting coming sunday (Nov.29th), then please drop me a line.
    Of course everybody is free to use the mailing list to call for any chat meeting anytime.

:: Others ::
  • There are rumours of universities in Greece joining the wave of occupations on Dec.6th ;)

The WAVE is just BEGINNING!
