Hi everyone!

I hope you are surviving summer well! I just want to tell you about our educational program for educators as it may be interested for you or your colleagues/friends.

As you already know, besides working towards a degrowth future, NaZemi is also focused on education. We have spent over 20 years pioneering global and transformative education in the Czech Republic, and we believe that education is not just about transferring knowledge, but a key instrument for profound social transformation.

I would love to invite you and your colleagues to our upcoming international summer school:

Inside Out: Pedagogies for Inner and Systemic Change

When: 16 – 20 August 2026
Where: Předklášteří, Czech Republic (at a beautiful, historic monastery venue)
For whom: Educators, youth workers, and anyone interested in transformative pedagogy.

Why join us? We are living in a time of deepening social inequalities and ecological crises. At NaZemi, we believe that "surface-level" changes are no longer enough. We need a deep transformation that combines inner change (our relationship to ourselves, each other, and nature) and systemic change (transforming power relations and institutions), and education plays a key role in driving these transformations.

During these four days, we will explore:

Holistic Approaches: Engaging not just the mind, but also the body, emotions, and collective imagination.
Emancipatory Education: Critically examining the status quo and finding ways to live values of community, cooperation, and care.
Practical Alternatives: Drawing inspiration from existing practices like self-directed organizations, democratic schools, and degrowth movements.

Our goal is to provide a space where educators can find meaningful ways to support their participants to contribute to systemic change while nurturing their own well-being.

Join the international summer school Inside Out: Pedagogies for Inner and Systemic Change, hosted by NaZemi from August 16–20, 2026, at a stunning historic monastery in Předklášteří, Czechia. Drawing on 20 years of experience in pioneering novel educational approaches, NaZemi invites educators and youth workers to explore how we can bridge the gap between inner transformation (deeply rooted mental models and values) and systemic change (power relations and institutions) in our educational practice.
