Post-doctoral Research Associate: Anti-Racist Theological Education

Full-Time, Fixed-Term [3 years]

The Queen’s Foundation seeks an appropriately qualified and experienced person to take up a fixed-term research associate post to undertake empirical, qualitative research into the experience of Global Majority Heritage academics and educators in the world of theology in the UK. It is envisaged that the research would be taken over a two-year period, followed by a year of dissemination and production of relevant training materials.

Queen’s is proud to be a diverse community that particularly nurtures the vocations and gifts of Black and Asian Christians. Therefore, while we welcome all applications from interested and suitably experienced people, and given the focus of this project, we particularly welcome applicants from Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic backgrounds and other under-represented groups.

Full details can be found on the Queen’s website at: https://www.queens.ac.uk/about-us/jobs/

Closing date for applications is 9 a.m. Monday June 17th, 2024.

Interviews are expected to take place on 1st July, 2024. We hope to inform all those being called for interview by June 24th at the latest.

Candidates must have the right to work in the UK. Evidence will be required at interview.

Applicants should submit our standard application form (which you can supplement with a full CV if you wish), our brief recruitment monitoring form, and a covering letter outlining how your qualities, skills and experience would enable you to fulfil the role description and person specification for this post. You should not simply submit your CV as an alternative to the covering letter as we encourage all candidates to spell out clearly in their letter how and why they feel they are suited for the role.

Applications should be sent to recru...@queens.ac.uk with subject line: Post-doctoral Research Associate.
