Communication by its very definition implies the presence of two or more people. It has been defined as "the sharing or exchange of information and ideas between two or more people". In every communication situation there are two parties, a sender and a receiver speaking and writing are the sender's or transmitter's skills.
A speaker/writer is the originator of the thought or idea to be communicated. He puts the message to be communicated into words or symbols and selects the channel or medium of communication. The communication process does not end merely with the sending of the message. Once the message reaches the receiver it becomes necessary to receive his response. Every communication aims at a result which is determined by the receiver's responding answer.
A receiver decodes the encoded message and is expected to respond in return. The sender can judge the effectiveness of his message by the feedback he gets from the receiver. This feedback is very important because it helps the sender to evaluate the effectiveness of his message, whether he used the proper language, the correct medium and the right approach.
